Spring Lawn Care
Spring lawn care tips by Scott YoungYes, spring has finally arrived and now it's time to come out of the house and do your yearly lawn care duties. Lawn care is necessary year round to keep and maintain a healthy, lush, green lawn, but the care you give your lawn in the spring is a crucial part of creating a lawn that will maintain its' beauty throughout the year.To some, spring lawn care is just common sense, but to beginners there are small, but very important factors that if overlooked will come back to bite you. One important task that is commonly overlooked is establishing a regular maintenance routine. This routine includes a regular watering schedule. Prime up those pumps, pop-up those sprinkler, or drag out the hose! Make sure you water as deeply and long as possible for your soil type. Another part of a regular part of lawn care that should be started in the spring is mowing. With mowing your lawn make sure that your blades are sharp, so as to get a better cut. Another important task to spring lawn care is applying weed. This should be done in the early spring, just after the last freeze. A good brand is "Scott's" and can be found at stores such as Wal-mart, or any local nursery. Applying these fertilizer/ weed killer early in the spring season will help ease lawn care later in the season as you will have less weeds to deal with. Whatever you do, don't put off this spring maintenance. Lawn care is a constant process, but if you stay on top of the tasks that you are supposed to do at the right time, you will have the healthy, well maintained lawn that you deserve.
